The Indian cinema has evolved through ages. It is not only watched within Indian boundaries but has reached world wide and is appreciated too. Cinema is the best way in which the contemporary society is portrayed. Each cinema has been responsible to showcase the period in which they have been made. Indian cinema has experienced it's glorious years and continues to do so. Innovations in the digital world have always helped cinema to deliver better and best movies to the audiences.Pioneer of Indian cinema is Dadasaheb phalke.  Another man who is considered as stepping stone is V. shantaram. These were the two people because of whom Indian cinema has seen the light of the day.Indian cinema have always been divided into various eras. The black and white cinema was inspired by mythology, history and social issues. The best   movies were made in this very era. Filmmakers like satyajeet ray, raj kapoor, dev anad, bimal roy have made some of the best masterpieces. The era of 60's 70's have witnessed movies which had high voltage drama, action, subtle romance. It was this very period where there was another world of cinema dealing with the rawness of movie making. It was named as parallel cinema. This  cinema which showcased some real acting and natural actors. It dealt with some good scripts and beautiful story telling. There were actors of parallel cinema who quenched thirst for real cinema and on the other hand the commercial movies who entertained movie buffs. Actors belonging to the league of commercial films made cash registers ringing for producers.  The commercial stars touched hearts of thousands of fans. Cinema touched every emotion. Comedy, action, suspense, thriller were all seen on the big screen. Cinema was considered larger than life fiasco. Then there was 80's and 90's where romance genre of cinemas ruled the silver screen. There were various scripts been told however the love birds attracted more audiences. Some of the well known romantic films were made in this era. The early 2000 brought a change to the filmi duniya. Cinema in contemporary world is more realistic, low toned, bold and unique. Indian cinema is ruled by the hindi film industry however, regional cinema have been has been inseparable part of the Indian film industry.  They too have a lion's share in the success of cinema in India. The number of cinemas made each year is increasing. Cinema today is appreciated on the basis of scripts instead of stars, location, or any other thing. Hope that film makers keep on bringing good scripts on screen and keep entertaining us.
Cheers to the Indian cinema.....................
